Night Time Skincare Routine 🌙

Fall is upon us and that means time to switch up your skincare routine. For someone, with dry skin, the colder months means i need to ensure my skin gets as much moisture and hydration as i can possibly give it and so today, i will be sharing with you guys my updated skincare routine which is super simple so let’s get into it!

  • Cleanse The Skin

For cleansing the skin i use my new favorite face wash which is the ‘Eucerin Dermopurifyer Hydrating Care Cleanser’ (wow, that was a mouth full). There isn’t much to say about it except that it leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed and NOT DRY which you obviously want in the colder months.

  • Toner

So here’s the thing, if you aren’t into using fancy toners and want to use something cheap and natural that gets the job done, then rose water is your best friend! I’ve been using this for years now and honestly it’s one product that i can’t ever imagine replacing. There are tons of benefits of rose water for your skin which if i were to type down, this post would never end so go ahead and google them but i personally use it to clean my pores, refresh my skin and keep those wrinkles at bay (gotta think long term).

  • Moisturize

A year ago, i tried using this random coconut oil as a face moisturizer and unfortunately it broke me out which was so weird because i never break out. Recently, i came across this ‘Earth’s Finest Organic Virgin Coconut Oil’ and thought i’d i’d give it a try and oh boy, am i glad i did! This works wonders for me especially as a moisturizer, as it deeply nourishes and hydrates my face and I wake up with the softest skin literally my skin has never felt softer! I highly recommend this and if not this exact one just make sure you are using ORGANIC coconut oil on your face as i believe that’s the reason i broke out previously.

  • Lip Balm

My skin care routine is simply not complete without a good old lip balm. Recently, I’ve been loving this one from Misslyn. It does such a good job at moisturizing my lips as it’s super thick and omg, don’t even get me started on how good this smells. I usually don’t like lip balms that have a strong scent but this one smells so good that i honestly don’t mind at all and of course the cute packaging makes it even more better!

  • Moisturizing the hands

Now, i will talk about that step that let’s be honest we all tend to forget. I read somewhere that the skin on our hands and neck actually show the earliest signs of aging which just goes to show how important it is to moisturize those areas. I have made it a habit to moisturize my hands otherwise i would just forget and have very unattractive, dry hands which is not a good look.

  1. I heard serums are becoming extremely popular in skincare these days. I recently started using a serum in my skincare and I’m interested to see if it makes a difference!

    1. Yes, I love that both rose water and coconut oil are cheap and natural! You should definitely try coconut oil as a moisturizer, might work well for you aswell!
And thank you so much for the nomination, I’ll check it out! ☺️💗

  2. I tried using coconut oil as a moisturizer since it’s natural and anti fungal and anti bacterial but it made my skin so itchy. I shifted to Vaseline body lotion it was okay but I wanted to use a natural oil. Few months back I switched to almond oil and it’s amazing. It’s light on the skin, moisturises well and rich in vitamin E.

    1. Oh, maybe coconut oil doesn’t suit all skin types?
Because it did break me out at first but that was only because I was a using this random brand!
I will have to check out almond oil for the face, I’ve never tried it!

      1. Brand was good, it’s just that coconut oil gets solidified under room temperature and when that happens on the skin, it gets itchy unless you live in a hot place
