My Top 5 Mascara Hacks!

Today, i wanted to share with you all my favorite tried and tested mascara hacks that will help you get amazing long and voluminous lashes. Now if you are someone like me who wasn’t blessed with naturally long lashes and can’t be bothered to wear false lashes, then these tips are definitely for you!

• Using baby powder to get voluminous lashes

I’m sure many of you have heard about this hack and to be honest i didn’t think it would work until i actually tried it. First, apply a coat of mascara and then taking some baby powder (i use any body powder i can find) on a q-tip, gently apply this onto your lashes. Now apply a few more coats of mascara and voila! you now have thick and long lashes. You won’t believe it until you try it!

• Not happy with your new mascara? No worries!

So you have just gone out and bought this new mascara but after trying it out, you realize you don’t like it because it’s too clumpy and the mascara wand is just not right. (story of my life!) Instead of throwing your new mascara out. just use the mascara wands of one of your old mascara (one you actually like)  and use that to apply your new mascara and guys, i was so surprised at how well this actually works and this way you don’t end up wasting the mascara and all that money you spend on it!

• Apply your mascara in the opposite direction to get more volume

You know when you part your hair in the opposite direction to how you usually part it, you instantly get more volume, well the same applies to your lashes. When applying mascara, coat your lashes in the opposite direction at first (either to the left or right) and then straight front like you normally would and this gives my lashes so much more volume. I love this trick so much and i do this every time while applying mascara.

• Get rid of clumps and get longer lashes using a wand with small bristles

This tip is pretty self explanatory and a necessity for me and I’ve been doing it since ages so you can trust that it works wonders. If you feel your lashes look too clumpy, just take a mascara wand with small bristles like the one shown in the picture below and just run it through your lashes. These types of wands also make sure to grab to each and every lash, even the small ones, giving your lashes a much fuller look.

• Got mascara on your lids? Don’t panic!

This isn’t exactly a tip for amazing lashes but since this literally happens to me on a daily basis, i can’t not share it. If you get mascara on your lids or on any other part of your face, the first step is to not panic and yes i know it’s hard. Just wait patiently around 10-15 minutes until the mascara has dried off, take a q-tip and gently remove it! It’s important that you wait for it to dry, otherwise it’s just going to spread around and make things way messier than they already are.
