Beauty haul

Recent Beauty Purchases!

As a lover of all this beauty and makeup, there is nothing more exciting than buying new products and testing them out to see if they are worth it. Most of these products that I have purchased are ones that I have had my eye on for a while and have heard a lot of hype on them so lets get on to this mini makeup haul!

NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION (BARCELONA)

I have been wanting to get this foundation forever as I have heard amazing things about it. Plus, I am all about any foundation that claims to give my skin a glow. Needless to say, this product did not disappoint; not only does it blend like a dream, it is easy to built up and gives my skin a beautiful finish without looking cake-y or exaggerating my dry areas.

Nars Sheer Glow FoundationRCMA NO COLOR POWDER

I believe this would have to be the most hyped up product among everything I have purchased. I first heard about this through Kathleen Lights on YouTube and after hearing her talk about it- I knew I had to get it. She claimed that this is a great dupe for the very much loved Laura Mercier Translucent Powder which costs quite a lot in comparison to this. Although I have not tried that one out, I am very much in love with this powder. Not only is this going to last me a VERY long time, it does a great job at setting my concealer which is what I mainly use it for. I love how it just gives such a smooth and flawless finish to my skin! Highly recommend this!

NARS SMUDGE PROOF EYESHADOW BASE

Honestly, this is one product I am not quite sure how I feel about. I have dry skin but for some really weird reason, my eyelids are the only part on my face that decide to be excessively oily (go figure). Anyways, I decided to invest in this $26 eye primer because it is quite frustrating when you spend an hour doing your eye makeup and in about 15 minutes, it is a smudgy/creasy mess! I feel like this primer does help delay the creasing of my eyeshadow BUT it still does crease in about 5-6 hours. If this was a cheap primer, I would totally be okay with that, but if I am spending that much money on an EYE PRIMER, I need my eyeshadow to stay amazing all day, you know what I mean. Anyways, not quite sure how I feel about it; maybe I just have really excessively oily lids or something haha!

URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER SETTING SPRAY

Fun fact: I rarely use setting sprays after doing my makeup. I figured it was time to invest in a good one and since everyone seems to loving this one, I decided to get it. I have only used this once until now so don’t really have any thoughts on it but can I just say, what is up with that smell?! I was not expecting it to smell that bad, but if any of you guys have used this setting spray, does the smell bother you or is it just me? Let me know!

MAKEUP FOREVER ULTRA HD CONCEALER

I went in to Sephora wanting to buy the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer but somehow got convinced by the lady working there to buy this one! Not that I’m mad about it haha! This concealer has quite a thick formula but it does not feel or look cake-y/heavy what so ever. I do wish it had more coverage but overall I am pretty impressed with it. I do still want to get the Urban Decay one though as I have heard it has amazing coverage!

FENTY BEAUTY GLOSS BOMB

This has to be my favourite product out of all the ones here. I am not really in to lip glosses but this gloss bomb by Fenty Beauty makes me want to wear lip gloss every day! It instantly makes my lips look so much more fuller and plumper. It gives the most beautiful yet subtle shine and I can literally wear this on top of any lippie and it will still look good. It does a great job at keeping my lips hydrated although it can get a little sticky but I don’t mind that much because of how good it makes my lips look! If you are looking for a good lip gloss, you need this in your life!

Thank you for reading! xx

    1. Haha, same! Most of them I’ve discovered through YouTube! They are all high end that’s why it took me a while to get them as they had been on my list for awhile! xx

  2. I’m not the biggest fan of loose powders, as I always find them to be a bit messy 😛 But heard great things on RCMA powder. My sister is leaving for New York next week, maybe I’ll put that on my shopping list 😀

    1. Same here! Oh, I have dry skin so I have no idea how it would work for yours although it does not make my skin look super glowy or anything!

    1. It actually gave my skin amazing finish which I loved because my skin didn’t look too Matte or too glowy so I can just put it on and not have to powder my face! xx

  3. I am not one to wear makeup and if I do then it’s normally just wearing lipstick but I am intrigued by this Fenty gloss, I’m not a gloss person but it always looks great on others.

  5. Lovely haul you got some lovely goodies. I have oily skin so I mostly stay away from the dewy foundations. I love Urban Decay setting spray. The RCMA powder is on my list for really long time even I first heard it from Kathleenlights. But may be I will be able to get it. 🙂

  6. To be honest, I’m not much of a makeupy person haha! But these seem like some really nice products. I think I’ll start as a beginner and hopefully work up to this kinda level! Super nice post 😉

  8. I’ve literally tried to write this comment about three times because of WordPress not letting me log in – anyways, I have hooded eyes so I always find eventually eyeshadow will start to crease but I find sometimes setting my primer with a little powder helps a bit!

    1. Ahh, that’s so frustrating!
Okay I have no idea if my eyes are hooded haha, I guess they are cause seriously it’s annoying how much my eyeshadow creases. This tip sounds amazing, I will try it the next time!
      Thanks so much girl! 💕💕

  9. I really love the NARS eyeshadow base, and I have oily eyelids as well. But I totally get what you mean about price, if it’s not working as you would like then there’s no need to spend the dough!
