I Am Officially A Graduate!

Hello everybody,

Hope you are all doing well!

So, last week I had my graduation ceremony and can now say that I am officially a university graduate. For those of you who are wondering, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. I wanted to write this post to share with you all a little about my university journey, how it feels to be a graduate and also my graduation makeup/outfit so lets get in to it!

My University Journey

I still remember my first day of university and that overwhelming feeling of excitement/nervousness as I was starting a new chapter of my life. There were so many new memories to be made and so many new people to be met and perhaps it was the fact that no one knew me there and it was a fresh beginning that allowed me to put myself out there and be more confident (something I had previously struggled with). I have to say I truly enjoyed my university years way more than I ever did my school years. Although the last year got pretty hectic with numerous assignments and deadlines, my first 2 years of university were definitely the best as I got to meet new people, make some amazing memories that I will forever cherish- because the studies were not too hard in the beginning, I took that time to have fun, go out and not stress myself out too much (probably not the best advice haha). I have grown and learnt so much in those 4 years and I am truly grateful for it all.

How It Feels To Be A Graduate

I would say it is a mixture of emotions. I am glad I do not have to go through that immense stress that comes along with exams/assignments but at the same time that question of ‘what next’ can be quite daunting. I actually went through a rough period few weeks after I got done with my final semester exams as I felt completely lost and unmotivated. I had so much free time on my hands that I had no idea what to do with it and I honestly felt like I was wasting my life away. I quickly got myself back up though and instead of crying about how I had nothing to do, I decided to use this time to apply for jobs, produce better content for my blog, create goals that I wanted to fulfil and just work on improving myself. I am now at a point in my life where I feel great, of course I have down days just like everyone else but I am constantly working on growing myself and putting myself out there and just looking forward to what life has to offer to me after graduation!

Graduation Ceremony Makeup & Outfit

Moving on to a lighter topic, here is the look I went for at my graduation ceremony. For the makeup, I used my Morphe 35O palette to create a brown smoky eye and used my usual face products that I know work well for me as this was definitely not the time to be experimenting with new products haha! As for the lips, I went with my all time favourite Kat Von D liquid lipstick in ‘Lolita’ topped up with Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. I was super happy with this makeup look and it lasted so well!

For the outfit, I went with these black & white ‘cropped wide-leg trousers’ from Bershka which I am obsessed with- they were super comfortable to wear and fit me so well. I paired the trousers with this simple back top from KOTON that has some details on the sleeves and because it was super simple, I added this silver necklace from ‘NEW LOOK’. As for heels, I went with these super simple and comfortable heels from H & M.

Well, that is it for this post but before leaving, I just want to say to those of you who are joining university- make sure to enjoy every minute of it as it is one hell of a ride and definitely an experience you will look back on and for those who are graduating or are in their last semesters- I wish you all the best!
