January Favorites 🌸

The first month of the new year has officially ended and that could only mean one thing; yes, you guessed it- a favorites post! On another note, I’ve been seeing a lot of people complaining about how LONG this month was and how happy they are that it has finally ended but am I the only one who didn’t feel that way? 🤔 This was actually a really good and busy month for me- finished my finals, started preparing for my brothers wedding and received my results which means I’m officially eligible to graduate! Anyways, if you want to know what i’ve been loving this month, then keep on reading!

BEAUTY/SKINCARE

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

After hearing the million benefits of organic ACV for your skin, hair and health  ; I knew I had to try it out. I’ve been using it as a toner everyday for around a month now and although I haven’t seen any drastic changes to my skin, I do feel that some of the dark spots on my skin have faded.  I also tried drinking it if by diluting it with water as it’s supposed to help with detoxification, digestive issues and so much more; however, the taste is just SO HORRIBLE that taking down every sip was a struggle for me not to mention the very unpleasant smell. I will try it again though but this time diluting it in a larger quantity  of water which will hopefully help take away the strong taste!

MAC Fix Plus Setting Spray

Yes, I know I’m very late to the game but after purchasing this hugely hyped up setting spray a few months  ago, I’ve been trying out different ways of using it! This is such a versatile product but the way I like to use it is when my foundation looks too powder-y I like to spray this all over my face and it just gives me a more smooth and blended finish. I also like to use this to help my highlighter look more intense or dewy/blended. I just spray some on to my beauty blender and lightly tap it on to where I have applied my highlighter and wow guys I was so shocked by how beautiful and flawless my highlighter looked, I highly recommend trying out this tip!

NYX Lip Lingerie ‘EXOTIC’

After hearing so many great reviews on this lip product, I finally got my hands on it and I’m happy to say I was not disappointed! This specific shade is a beautiful ‘warm mahogany red’ and it has a mouse-y texture to it. I love how pigmented and lightweight it is. It does not dry out the lips at all and stays on for quite a long time. I’ve been wearing it very often and I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it as it’s the perfect shade for  spring!

Deep Green ‘MAX’ Cardigan

You probably don’t know this about me but I have a thing for long cardigans haha! Whenever I go shopping and spot a cardigan, I just feel this strong urge to get it although I already have so many! Well, my latest obsession is this green one from ‘MAX’ and what I love about this one is how comfortable and soft it is. I can literally throw this on whatever I want and it’s the easiest outfit to put together. It also keeps me warm, well warm enough for the UAE weather haha which is a plus point!

Stadivarius Loafers

How cute are these loafers from Stradivarius! I love the little cloth patches on it as it gives them such a trendy look! I’ve gotten so many compliments on these aswell, they might not be the most comfortable thing to wear at times but they can always make any boring outfit look so much cooler and i’ve been wearing them non stop throughout January.

SHOWS

Mind Hunter

This quickly became one of my favorite shows to date! If you are a lover of thriller/crime, you will LOVE this show. It was a bit slow in the beginning as you aren’t quite sure where the story is going but soon enough you will be hooked to the    dark twists and turns this show takes. Highly recommend!

Atypical

This is not the show that I would typically go for but I was out of shows and looking to find a good one on Netflix when I  stumbled upon this one and I’m so glad I did! I love the main character and how greatly he played the part of an autistic child. This show really opened my eyes to how autism affects not only the person who has it but also the family especially the parents. Although it’s focused on a serious topic, this show always had the right balance of comedy and drama. Highly recommend this aswell and I’m super excited for season 2!
