Current Night Time Skincare Routine!

I don’t often change up my skincare routine and that is why the last time I did one of these was literally a year ago. Since I have incorporated a few new products and techniques in my routine I decided it was about time to share with you all my current night time skincare routine so let’s get in to it!

FACE WASH & EXFOLIATING BRUSH

Whether or not I have makeup on, I will always go in with a face wash first. Currently I have been using this Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Face Wash by Wishtrend. I had no idea that a thing such as ‘powder face wash’ even existed until I used this. As the name suggests, it comes out as a powder and all you have to do is add a few drops of water and swirl it in to a thick paste and apply it to your face. For some reason, I find this process very therapeutic and it leaves my skin looking instantly cleaner and brighter.

Something new that I have been doing is using this face exfoliating brush to massage the face wash on to my skin and I kid you not, my skin has never felt smoother, softer and cleaner after using this technique. I highly recommend you all to try this out; it is basically like using one of those electric facial brushes (clarisonic) except WAY cheaper but you do need to make sure to keep it clean at all times. The soft bristles of the brush help to gently exfoliate the skin in ways that your fingers can not and remove any debris or impurities.

MICELLAR WATER

I now go in with a product that I am sure you all are very well aware of- the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water to remove any excess makeup or dirt left on my skin and I usually only do this if I was wearing makeup previously; if not, I will simply use some rose water as a toner.

SERUM

I have only recently incorporated a serum in to my skincare routine. Previously, I only heard people saying how great serums are for the skin but never really knew its true purpose. Serums are basically lightweight moisturizers that sink in deeper in to the skin. “Serums can give your skin a firmer/smoother texture, make pores smaller and increase moisture levels”- Celebrity Artist (Kristofer Buckle). I have been using this ‘Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum’ for a few weeks now but I am yet to see any major results so I will continue using it to see if it affects my skin positively.

MOISTURIZER

For moisturizer, I will either go in with my all time favourite moisturizer from Bioderma- Hydrabio Crème which I highly recommend to anyone with dry skin (it feels super light weight but does such a great job at moisturizing the skin) or I will use coconut oil depending on how dry my skin is feeling (I mostly use coconut oil at night as it is heavy).

HAND CREAM

Lastly, I will go in with a super rich and moisturizing hand cream and at the moment I have been loving using the bath & body works hand creams- they just smell so good! This is a step I often tend to forget so I am trying as much as I can to make it a habit and keep my hands soft and hydrated!

  1. I don’t tend to switch up my skincare routine often either because I have quite sensitive skin so just stick to the products that I know work for me but this has made me want to try out some of these products! Also, I love the scent of that hand cream!

    1. Oh yeah, it must be quite difficult experimenting with products with sensitive skin! I have dry skin so when I do find a moisturizer that works for me, I stick to it haha! Oh yes that hand cream smells amazing! 💗

  2. I’ve been really wanting to get a exfoliating brush, they sound great. I’ll have to keep an eye out for one next time I’m shopping! I’ve also heard quite a lot of good things about using serums, but I’ve never tried one. It would be great to hear what you think about it and if you do see an improvement.

  3. I’ve heard so many great things about Klairs serums. I definitely need to give those a try. I’m currently using a rubber exfoliating brush. It’s perfect for creating that perfect foam while cleansing your face. Love your suggestions!

    1. Thanks a lot! 😘
And no they don’t, because they are specifically made for the face, they are very gentle but provide exfoliation at the same time!
I would say give it a try, just make sure you keep the brush clean after every wash! 💗

  6. Our skincare routines are so similar, the only difference is the coconut oil, how does it not clog your pores??? That’s so lucky! xxx

    1. Actually the one I use is 100% organic and that really makes a difference in not clogging my pores, also my skin is on the drier side so it actually helps it instead of clogging haha! But I know coconut oil does not suit people’s skin types! xx
