I love reading blogging tips and tricks from other bloggers as i always get to learn something new and helpful and that is why today, i wanted to share with you guys just five simple tips that have helped me throughout my blogging journey. Hopefully, these can help you guys out too, so let’s get into it!
- Be consistent
I’m pretty sure you all have heard the phrase ‘consistency is key’ a million times and well, it really is! It doesn’t matter if you post 7 times a week or only once, as long as you choose the specific day/days you will be posting on and stick to it. Going weeks and months without posting is only going to hinder your blog growth. Consistency will show your audience that you are committed to blogging and they can expect content from you regularly and will ultimately increase the chances of others following your blog.
- Use pictures
Having good photos is such a big component of blogging especially if you are a beauty/lifestyle blogger. I can’t tell you the amount of times i’ve clicked on a blog post only to find out that there are no photos and have instantly became demotivated to read it. You don’t need to have super high quality pictures, just make sure they are your own original photos as that will give your blog a more unique/personal feel and that the audience can clearly see the content of the photo. Trust me, with time and experimentation, your photos will become better so for the time being, use what you have and make the best out of it.
- Engage with your followers
This is something i lacked severely when i first started my blog and my blog certainly was not growing at the rate i would’ve liked it too. I still struggle with this but i try as much as i can to find new blogs and engage with my current audience. Make sure to take some time out of your day to not just read/like/comment on other blogger’s content but also reply to comments that have been left on your posts. Find blogs that have similar areas of interest as yours and leave a nice comment or follow them. Get your name out there and you will notice a huge difference in your blog traffic and number of followers.
- Content
This can literally make or break the amount of success your post is going to get. Use bullet points/numbers to organize your content. People are more likely to read your post if it looks neat and organized rather than if it’s just one long paragraph. Once you are done writing the post, go over if to fix any grammar/spelling mistakes. This will make reading your post an enjoyable experience for the audience and it also gives an impression of professionalism (especially important if you want to make a career out of blogging). Lastly, make sure the actual content is something that interests you and not something you are forcing yourself to write about as that can be something quite evident to the audience.
- Be patient
If you are someone who lacks patience, blogging certainly is not for you! There will be times when you will feel like quitting, when your posts aren’t getting the amount of attention you’d like them to or your follower base isn’t growing at the rate you wished for and in those times you have to be patient and keep going. As long as you are passionate about blogging, your hard work will pay off.

Interaction is the key and it is hard when we have multiple social media accounts. I am trying to focus on WordPress and Instagram now.

Yeah it really is, I struggle with it too especially instagram what with having to post daily and the follower count on there is so unpredictable hahah
But I guess at the end of the day, it does drive traffic to your blog ☺️

So true, particularly when it comes to patience. I also like the content side because people don’t tend to talk about this in the tips post, but it is so true as that’s the basis of blogging as a whole. Love your blog too! Xx

Wonderful advice! I was wondering if anyone knows of a good editing tool to catch grammar mistakes, etc. I read, re-read, edit, and re-edit my posts but I STILL find errors. I don’t have anyone that is detail oriented that can be a second pair of eyes for me. Thanks!

I am pretty sure there are some websites available that check any grammar/spelling mistakes for you. Just google for them- I have heard of ‘grammarly’- so you can check that out! xx
